The R&D Buildings comprise of Tower One and Tower Two. Tower One is 390 meters tall and Tower Two is 290 meters tall. Tower One utilizes a mega column frame system for high-rise buildings. Within a standard floor, there is no other structural beam or column that blocks the interior view except the eight mega columns, thereby greatly expands user’s view and enhances spatial efficiency. The façade is entirely made of extremely white glass curtain wall measuring 3 meters in width, which is double the normal size, to allow for unhindered viewing experience. Tower Two is built with reinforced concrete on a core tube structure and adopts composite steel column framework on its perimeter by an interval of 9 meters. The standard floors are space economical for use.
Designed by Mr. Meng Yan, the leading designer of URBANUS, the approx. 100-thousand-㎡LOFT is a modernistic interpretation of the Chinese fable Peach Blossom Land. On the north is the multi-purpose LOFT with standard floor to ceiling height of 4.5 meters. The double-deck spaces are open to the north and south and can be used as exhibition venues, reception or offices and can be configured for combination use. On the West is the first MUJI three-in-one complex to incorporate its flagship retail store, diner and hotel. In addition, the western space is greatly enhanced by its art theatre. The LOFT to the south houses the China International Consumer Electronics Exchange/Exhibition Center (CEEC), which provides services including product launch event, exhibition, product experience event, investment discussion and cooperation transaction.
Adopting glass curtain walls, a rare configuration for residential buildings, the high-rise apartment buildings approximately 224.5 meters tall on the east and west side contain a total of 629 high-end business apartments and 1,400 exclusive parking spaces. The total gross floor area of the two buildings amounts to approx. 170 thousand ㎡.
